This collaboration with Hip Consulting Group was developed to promote a news sales contest and event teaser for StorageTek. This Business card CD-ROM was sent out to StorageTek's sales force to promote the contest with showcased prizes like an Alaskan fishing expedition and a BMW z3 Roadster.
The "Command Your Destiny" theme of the CD allows salespeople to learn the rules by putting them in front of a steering wheel and navigating to the different prize packages. This internal sales tool was designed to pump up the sales team in a fresh and "not-cheesy" way. With most sales organizations looking for a way to motivate their teams for big results, this contest and corresponding event planning was a huge success. How good? We can't disclose, but Sun Microsystems did end up buying StorageTek. An intangible like this project can go a long way towards results across multiple initiatives.
